More than do good for your health, stimulates the development of the artistic side of the child and work principles such as discipline and teamwork. Among the activities promoted by Aprendendo com Você, dance classes are the ones with the largest number of participants. There were 40 students in 2016. The program also promotes presentations and municipal competitions, motivating the students even more.
With Aprendendo com Você, the students of the schools also can learn to play musical instruments. Since 2008, the program has been offering guitar lessons at the Escola Vinícius de Aquino Ramos in Itumbiara (GO), and flute at Escola Alexandre Arcipretti, also in Itumbiara (GO). In 2016, about 25 children from partner schools benefited.
The capoeira classes promoted by Caramuru in partner schools are a great incentive to sports and culture. As they develop the activity, the children also learn a little about Afro-Brazilian history and customs. About 45 students from Caramuru’s partner schools benefited from the Capoeira Project.
With the awareness of the importance of physical activities for children, the project Atletas do Futuro aims to develop the habit of sports during childhood through socio-educational actions, promoting social development and stimulating the formation of citizens. Held by Caramuru since 2009 in conjunction with the Social Service for Industry (SESI), the initiative serves children from partner schools and employees’ children. In Itumbiara (GO), the program benefits students from partner schools. And in Apucarana (PR), at the Escola Fábio Henrique da Silva, the initiative served 194 students in 2016.
Through jiu-jitsu, learning principles such as respect and citizenship is much more fun. Enabled by Caramuru and Pionner Sementes company with the support of Itumbiara (GO) City Hall, Lutar por Um Futuro Melhor teaches the students important lessons about the sport. In 2013, 40 project students benefited in Itumbiara (GO). Also in that year, Caramuru supported the second Jiu-Jitsu Cup, held with the objective of integrating the sport and its practices among athletes from the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and the Federal District.
In 2016, the project Aprendendo com Você also supported jiu-jitsu classes and attended about 20 students from the Escola Estadual Vinícius de Aquino Ramos and Escola Estadual Alexandre Arcipretti in Itumbiara. Throughout the year, the students participated in indoor championships and belt change system. At the end of each class, Caramuru offered a snack for the young and was responsible for the kimonos’ hygiene.
The Arraia de Itumbiara is the largest folkloric festival in the region, held by the City Hall with the purpose of promoting leisure, entertainment, culture and tourism. Traditionally, Caramuru maintains a tent for the Aprendendo com Você project. The collection is divided between schools partner and used for structural improvements and spaces.
The 12th Arraiá de Itumbiara edition, which took place from June 21 to 26, 2016, had different attractions and 30 charitable organizations participated. Once again, Caramuru was present with the tent of the Aprendendo com Você program and had the support of 125 volunteers who took care of the counter, customer service, cashier, kitchen and cleaning. The record profit of R $ 23,093.70, obtained from the products’ sales, was destined to the two schools partner of the company.
With the money received, the Escola Alexandre Arcipretti bought a new water cooler and did the maintenance for the computers used by students and staff. The Vinícius de Aquino Ramos School will use the amount collected to build a classroom adapted for special children.
Aprendendo com Você also benefits the employees of Caramuru. Through Digital Inclusion, they have the opportunity to participate in computer classes held in the company’s own multimedia room.
In Santos, for example, an important initiative is to collect e-waste. The idea came from the employees, who began to take the damaged equipment they had at home to send them to a recycling center. Collected material that is in good condition is reused and contributes to digital inclusion rooms. At the moment, there are already four operating rooms and two more to be inaugurated. More than 500 people have already benefited from the project.
Junior Achievement is an OSCIP – Civil Society Organization of Public Interest maintained by the private initiative with the mission to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in the young people still in the school and to provide a clear vision of the business world.
Since 2007, Caramuru has supported Junior Achievement’s work in Itumbiara, São Simão, Apucarana and Santos, promoting educational programs for adolescents in primary and secondary education in the region.
The work is a partnership between schools, companies and their collaborators, who dedicate part of their time as volunteers, teaching and sharing their experiences with students.
Our employees are trained according to the program of their choice and participate as volunteers in the classroom, donating part of their time to transmit knowledge and becoming great examples for the students of practically all the elementary and middle schools of the public network And private.
Among the projects with Caramuru’s participation, we highlight the Miniempresa and the Empresário Sombra. The first is aimed at students in the 2nd and 3rd years of high school and provides practical experience in economics and business, in the organization and operation of a company.
Already in the realization of the Empresário Sombra (Entrepreneur Sombra), we opened Caramuru’s doors, giving the students, also from high school, the opportunity to accompany a businessman or executive in a work day.
All this dedication is a source of pride for the entire team Caramuru. In 2016, during the meetings, attended by 1,656 students from schools in the public and private sector, were offered the programs Nosso Mundo, Vantagens de Permanecer na Escola, Finanças Pessoais, Habilidades para o Sucesso, Economia Pessoal, Vamos Falar de Ética, Empresário Sombra e Miniempresa.
All children and adolescents receive a participation’s certificate. In Itumbiara, 73 students participated in the Empresário Sombra. In the Apucarana Unit, in addition to the actions of Junior Achievement, Caramuru offered the project Atletas do Futuro, in partnership with SESI, in addition to handcraft classes. In all, 194 young people were benefited.
In partnership with the Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano), Campus Morrinhos, Caramuru participates in the Programa Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Técnico e Emprego (PRONATEC). Created in 2011 by the Federal Government, the project has the mission of expanding the offer of courses for professional and technological education and benefits internal collaborators, future collaborators and other professionals of the community.
In Itumbiara, in addition to Caramuru’s support, the project also has other partners: Undersecretaries of Education (Subsecretarias de Educação) of Morrinhos and Itumbiara; Funsol; Secretariats of Social Action (Secretarias de Ação Social) of Morrinhos, Edealina and Cromínia; Department of Racial Equality (Secretaria de Igualdade Racial) of Professor Jamil; Solidarity Foundation (Fundação da Solidariedade) of Itumbiara and Sine Morrinhos.
In 2013, approximately 55 employees from Itumbiara (GO) were certified in the loader operator, mechanic of industrial machinery, pound, administrative assistant and industrial chemical process operator courses.
